Employee Education

All employees will be provided with COVID-19 training and education on an ongoing basis. Training and education will also be provided to all contractors, service providers, visitors, or other parties that enter the workplace. The information provided will include safety measures and procedures, physical distancing, proper hygiene practices, and monitoring and reporting illness.

Signs will be posted at entrances, bathrooms and high traffic areas to provide information to employees and others in the workplace on how everyone can protect themselves and others.

Employee Self-Assessment

All employees reporting to a Town worksite, must complete the Town’s COVID-19 Employee Self Declaration form prior to the start of their scheduled shift.

  • Employees who have answered “No” to all the questions on the COVID-19 Employee Self Declaration form are permitted to enter the worksite.
  • Employees who, upon completion of the COVID-19 Employee Self Declaration answered “Yes” to any of the questions or determine they may have signs or symptoms of COVID-19, are to not report to their worksite and must immediately report it to their manager.
  • Employees who report signs or symptoms of COVID-19 to their manager, are not able to return to work until they have been reassessed again through the self-assessment and/or their health care professional to be cleared to return to work or are no longer symptomatic after self-isolating for 14 calendar days.

Reporting of Illness

The symptoms of COVID 19 can resemble a cold or a flu. At this time, any employee who is experiencing any symptoms related to cold, flu or COVID-19 are to be sent home. If an employee is ill and not presumed to be at risk for COVID-19 after completing the COVID-19 self-assessment and/or after consulting with their health care professional, they are to follow the Town’s Sick Time policy and should refrain from returning to work a minimum of 24 hours after their symptoms have stopped.
