Introducing HRISMyWay

The HRISMyWay is a software application that replaces the manual tracking of employee time and vacation spreadsheets. This functionality also provides employees with instant access to their employment information while automating and streamlining the Human Resources processes.

HRISMyWay provides a convenient 24-7-365 self-serve application to all employees presented through their own individual dashboards.

  • Electronic Payslips, T4s, Time off; accruals, requests and approvals
  • Creates specific alerts for action items; timesheet, time off, HR forms
  • Communicates celebrations; birthdays, work anniversary
  • Communicates ‘Who’s Out’ in the department linked to approved time off requests
  • Provides a comprehensive HR module that stores certifications, licenses, skills, and tracks expiry dates.
  • Streamline Timesheet entry, approval, and links to Payroll (for time entry departments)

Corporate Training and Resources

All employees will need to know and use the new HRISMyWay software starting in January 2025. Training for all employees will happen over the months of November and December 2024. Training resources have been developed to assist teams and can be found for reference in the Documents and Videos panel (right).

    Salary employees only enter exceptions - sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty and lieu time (if applicable). These entries should be made through the Time Off module. Once the Time Off is approved, it syncs with the department calendar automatically. If you do not take the time requested, ensure you cancel it from the time off module, under the specific request prior to that day.

    Hourly employees should enter all time worked through the time sheet. These employees should also request time off through the Time Off module and it will sync with their calendars.

    No, but once the requester cancels the time ensure that it is no longer on the calendar.

    No, the time off days that have passed are not able to be edited. Once a time off day has passed, the time will be removed from that entitlement automatically and move to the Earned/Used tab under 'My Requests'. Any edited requests will still require approval by the Manager.

    The approver does not receive an email but the request will populate directly to their dashboards (main and approval) for action. They click on the approval request, can check bank balances and then accepts or rejects (add reason for rejection). The approval will change the status of your request to 'Approved' from 'Submitted' under the Time Off Requests tab for that specific pay code type (vacation, sick, bereavement, jury duty, lieu time where applicable)

    The 2024 actuals have been sent to Human Resources for reconciliation and to capture roll over amounts (if applicable). If the employee booked the time on these spreadsheets, then their time will be reflected in the reconciliation and included with the 2025 vacation accruals. If the time off was not recorded on the manual spreadsheets, then the employee will need to request time off, as of January 1 within the TIME OFF module in HRISMyWay. All new vacation accruals and roll overs time will be available to book time against through HRISMyWay by January 1, 2025.

    Pay slips will still be emailed out. As of January 1, 2025 payslips will also be available through HRISMyWay under the 'Payments' pane on your Home Dashboard.

    Same process for T4s. The T4s will be emailed out and available on HRISMyWay through the Self Service Module.

    The current payslips available go back to the first pay period in 2024 = January 11, 2024. They reflect all 2024 pay periods. Future pay slips will be added to the Payments Pane and be available to all users for 3 years.

    No, it is linked to the HRISMyWay calendar and does not populate to any Outlook calendars.

    The first time sheets should be entered for Pay Period 1 which is December 21, 2024 to January 3, 2025
